Episode 59: Crafting Connections With Your Ideal Audience With Mangla Sachdev
Welcome to a special series ‘Conversations That Count’ featuring Singapore-based
professionals. This sunny island has been my home since 2009, so I’m excited to
shine a spotlight on the inspiring residents I share this sunny island with!
About our guest:
Mangla has moved around the world (more than once!), and is a third culture kid.
She’s been living in Singapore since 2010. Her entrepreneurial journey started at just 17 years old while travelling.
In 2020, she co-founded a printing company, spotting a market gap catering to
International School PTA’s. They quickly reached 6-figures drawing attention from
Facebook and the US Embassy.
Mangla founded Expat Business In A Bag which helps fellow expats, digital nomads and military spouses to Monetise as they Move™, adding multiple streams of income and building an audience and network worldwide.
Here are just a couple of takeaways from our conversation:
Niche Down for Success: Mangla emphasized the significance of niching down in
your business to stand out in a crowded market. By identifying and targeting a
specific segment of your audience, you can create tailored messages that resonate deeply with your ideal clients. Remember, a business for everyone is ultimately a business for no one!
Embrace the Power of Numbers: While numbers may seem daunting, they are
essential for tracking what resonates with your audience. From analyzing social
media engagement to monitoring lead magnet conversions, understanding your data can guide you in making informed decisions and refining your strategies for success.
Listen out for top tips on how you can get your audience to “stop the scroll!” This
episode is jam-packed with actionable tips and techniques to enhance your
communication skills and connect with your audience on a deeper level.
